Run Alcides run!!
A shortstop has stolen 20+ bases twelve times in team history, I figure Alcides Escobar is a safe bet to make it thirteen. True he only attempted 14 steals last season but in 2009 he stole 46 bases between AAA Nashville (42) and Milwaukee (4). AL teams averaged 108 steals last year and the Royals finished with 115, good for 6th in the league. I figure he'll get his chances, I mean Kendall and Alives each had 19 attempts so it's not unreasonable to expect 30-35 out of Escobar. My prediction is he finishes with 25 which would be the 10th best total for a shortstop.
