3 inning saves

Everett Teaford's 3 inning save Saturday was the 173rd such occurrence in team history. In this age of the 3 out closer these types of saves usually only happen in blowouts. But once upon a time they were a regularity as a manager had no qualms about bringing his closer in the game in the 6th or 7th inning. Dan Quisenberry excelled when entering this early and, unsurprisingly, he holds the franchise record for most saves of 3+ innings.

Here are the Royals with the most 3+ inning saves and how they fared in these situations.

Quisenberry is tied for 4th all time in 3 inning saves. I guessed two out of the three with more before looking it up (Hoyt Wilhelm, Mike Marshall), but the third place guy is Gene Garber, who had 4 of his 40 for the Royals.
