Again with OBP? There are other stats that determine a players worth, such as defense and stolen bases AND home runs! If Crisp hits .300 and steals 50 bases and Jacobs hits 30 home runs I don't care what their OBP is. OBP which was thought to be under rated is now on the verge of being over rated.

If there's no one out there that is acquirable (both cost and availability playing roles), then why acquire anyone? I'd consider him most likely to replicate not much more than his K trio line that Jeff posted. And not only is the overall OBP not good enough for lead-off, look at his lead-off stats alone. .262/.312/.367 A lead-off hitter he's not.

I wouldn't mind Pie or Gutierrez rather than Crisp simply because of their upside. I guess I'm also not convinced that he will be better than Teahen next year and KC already has a decent CF (DDJ) so I don't believe it was the position of need that many thought it was.
